The smooth high gloss finish exudes style and is also extremely easy to clean and maintain. Our Water Based Metallic Top Coat is one of two options for finishing your metallic project, the easier of the two to install, a single-pack product designed for both easy installation and maintenance.

WHAT YOU NEED FOR A METALLIC EPOXY FLOORING SYSTEM:
Resincoat Metallic Epoxy Base Coat (Step 1): The Resincoat Metallic Epoxy Base coat sets the tone of your floor. The base coat is available in white, grey or black and seals & primes your floor.
Resincoat Metallic Epoxy Design Coat (Step 2): Resincoat Metallic Epoxy Design Coat is the heart of the Metallic Epoxy Flooring System. It is a two-part clear epoxy resin pigmented with your choice of colours to create your own metallic or marble effect flooring design.
Resincoat Metallic Top Coat (Step 3): Resincoat Metallic Top Coat is available in two options depending on your needs. The first is a single-pack water based top coat that is exceptionally easy to install, whilst the second option is a two-part high gloss UVR top coat which offers a more durable & robust finish, ideal for areas with high foot traffic.
HOW TO APPLY WATER BASED TOP COAT:
The surface must be dry and free of contamination, dirt, curing agent or other foreign material that may prevent proper adhesion and cause imperfections.
As a final coat over Resincoat Metallic Epoxy Design Coat, Resincoat Metallic Top Coat must be applied within 24 hours. If more than 24 hours have passed, lightly sand the surface with 200 grit or higher/finer sandpaper and thoroughly clean and vacuum the surface before application.
1. Decant the single-pack product into a tray or scuttle before gently stirring to disperse the product. Avoid mixing at high speeds to prevent the introduction of bubbles into the coating.
2. Once fully mixed, pour slowly onto the floor before brushing out with a roller with an even distribution.
3. Use a brush around the edges to cut in.
4. As soon as the first coat has started curing (is no longer tacky to touch) you can apply a second coat. This should take roughly 12 hours at 20C.
HOW TO APPLY UVR TOP COAT:
1. Pour 100% contents of PART B into the PART A tin and thoroughly mix by mechanical means (a paddle on the end of a drill) until the curing agent has fully dispersed into the mixture.
2. The mixed unit must be applied immediately and with a consistent, thorough coating method using a roller sleeve suitable for polyurethane resins.
3. Flat areas should be cross-rolled ensuring an even and smooth finish throughout. Move down the floor and repeat the process until complete.
4. As soon as the first coat has started curing (is no longer tacky to touch) you can apply a second coat. This should take roughly 12-16 hours at 10C.
Please note: DO NOT walk on the floor using spiked shoes to apply the second coat of Resincoat Metallic Top Coat. The floor is still fresh and you run the risk of leaving permanent dents in the floor from the spikes. Take caution when using the floor before 24 hours have passed as the coating will be prone to scratches and scuffs during this time.
Good to know:
• Avoid storage of the product in direct sunlight. Store above 7 degrees and do not allow product to freeze.
• Do not apply over damp surfaces and avoid contact with water for 48 hours.
