Secure Your Landscape with Eco-Friendly Strength

EcoHold is an advanced stone binder designed to stabilise loose stones to create a durable and visually appealing surface. Its formula is both eco-friendly and non-toxic, making it a suitable option for environmentally conscious projects. This product is easy to handle and apply, thanks to its one-component system that simplifies mixing and application processes. The formula ensures a strong bond, maintaining the structural integrity and appearance of the surface for an extended period.

EcoHold is environmentally safe, introducing no harmful chemicals whilst supporting sustainable practices in surface creation. Additionally, EcoHold preserves the permeability of the stone surface, allowing water to pass through, which helps prevent pooling and maintains slip resistance under wet conditions. It also includes a protective layer that inhibits dust and dirt infiltration, facilitating easier maintenance and cleaning.

Resincoat is committed to providing high-quality products that align with customer needs for durability and maintenance ease, emphasising sustainability.

Application Guide

Preparation:

Substrate should be stable but free draining. Area must not be prone to flooding or holding water, as this may cause softening of the resin. Substrate should be as clean and dust-free as practical to ensure best results. Existing gravel should be rinsed with water and allowed to dry prior to application.

 Application:

Stone/Gravel/Sand

Works best with gravel sizes between 3mm and 12mm.

Apply at a depth of no more than 20mm.

Watering Can:

  • Use a standard watering can for easy single application.
  • Pour EcoHold into the watering can for even application; 1L covers approximately 1.4m² per coat.
  • Apply 2-3 coats for optimal results.
  • Rinse the watering can thoroughly with clean water after use. Soak for 48 hours if blockages occur.

Bucket Mixing:

  • For even coating and maximum strength, add stones (3-8mm size) to a bucket.
  • Mix 1L of EcoHold for every 30kg of aggregate (1 part EcoHold to 25 parts gravel).
  • Mix until all stones are evenly coated (using a drill and paddle or gloved hands).
  • Apply immediately and level with a gardening trowel.
  • Reapply annually by spray or watering can to maintain finish and strength.

Spray Application (best for decorative areas only):

  • Pour EcoHold into a clean garden sprayer.
  • Apply the first coat at a rate of 1L per 1m²; rake gravel while wet to expose untreated areas.
  • Apply the second coat at 1L per 1m² and allow to dry.
  • Avoid disturbing the gravel before applying the final coat at 1L per 1m², then allow to dry thoroughly.

Bark/Much

Spray Application:

  • Pour EcoHold into a clean garden sprayer.
  • Apply the first coat and rake/turn the bark while still wet to expose untreated areas.
  • Apply a second coat before allowing to dry.
  • Minimise disturbance to the bark before applying the final coat at approximately 1.2L per 1m², then allow to dry thoroughly.

Watering Can:

  • Apply the first coat evenly to ensure full coverage.
  • Turn the mulch while EcoHold is still wet and immediately apply the second and final coat, ensuring the surface is wet but not dripping.
  • Allow to dry.

Bucket Mixing:

  • Transfer mulch/bark to a bucket.
  • Add approximately 1L of EcoHold to 20L of bark.
  • Mix thoroughly with gloved hands and apply to desired areas.
